Overview
Applicable Errors:
6140 Motor Brake Fuse Blown
Error Description:
- The Motor Brake Fuse has blown.
- The contactor has failed (only for RC7M).
- The brake release relay is broken.
- The motion board is damaged.
Possible Remedy:
Check the F1 fuse on the motion board responsible for the brake release of the motors. If the F1 fuse is blown, replace the fuse and confirm the robot wiring and / or motors which may have caused the fuse to blow.
Tools and Parts Needed
#2 Phillips Screwdriver
Multimeter
Step by Step Guide
Step 1Power down the controller and remove the power cable. Remove the top cover by removing the 8 screws securing the top cover. | |
Step 2Locate the F1 Fuse on the engine board and test with an Ohm meter. | |
Step 3If the F1 fuse is found to be blown, investigate the robot wiring / motor encoder cable / robot motors for damage. | |
Step 4Replace the F1 fuse with 3.2 amp 410054-0270. Replace the top cover & connect power. | |
Step 5If the error persists, investigate having the controller and robot repaired. |
