How to activate your Wincaps III license (version 3.6.XX and up)

Overview

Anytime a Wincaps III license needs to be activated and linked to a PC (version 3.6.XX and higher requires this)

Tools and Parts Needed

PC with internet access and Wincaps III license key (must be a license key not activated by someone else already). Must have Wincaps III already installed on your PC. If you need to download the latest version it is available here

If you are not sure which part number you need or the Robot Arm you own please stop and contact your DENSO Robotics sales representative.

Step by Step Guide

Step 1	Retrieve your Wincaps III license key and close all Wincaps III projects.
Step 2	Press "Windows" key and navigate to Densor Robotics -> License Manager and double left click your mouse
Step 3	Select "Wincaps III" from the left menu and then click on "Add/Remove License"
Step 4	Input your license key exactly as shown (with dashes) and click "Add"
Step 5	Highlight the newly added license key and click "Activate"
Step 6	Activation box should open with license and unique key
Step 7	While leaving the activation window open, open a new window at the Denso Wave website   product information about industrial robots｜industrial robots｜DENSO WAVE (denso-wave.com)
Step 8	Select Login -> Enter User name and password (If you don't have an account you will need to create one- Use Membership Reg. button)
Step 9	Click on "Member menu" and then "Activation"
Step 10	Navigate back to activation window and right click -> Copy license key Navigate back to Denso Wave window and right click -> Paste into license key
Step 11	Repeat step 10 but with the "Unique Key" instead of the license key
Step 12	Click "Confirm" button
Step 13	Verify license key and unique key were entered/copied correctly
Step 14	If license is valid and available to activate (someone else hasn't activated it already) it will generate an activation code
Step 15	Copy the activation code and input it back into your activation window and click "Register"
Step 16	You should receive an "activation successful" notification and activation is now complete. Once you open Wincaps III again it should be running with your full license version. If you had previously installed Wincaps III with the trial version license key it is recommended to remove it during the activation.
