Overview

The panel designer software tool, contained within WinCAPS III, is an immensely useful tool to employ when creating and using DENSO robot arms.

WINCAPSIII includes the Panel Designer software, a teach pendant editor for creating teach pendant (TP) panel screens by simply arranging parts on the computer screen and then specifying action source code for the events associated with them.

In order to activate the Panel Designer, create new TP file by using WINCAPSIII (see RC8 manual) or double-click an existing TP file.

Things to remember when starting your panel screens:

  • The first, top level panel screen must be named “main.pns”; as this is the file that the main teach pendant screen shortcut (F5) will run.
  • As you add additional panel screens creating a branching interface of multiple screens, remember to allow for navigation between pages, both forward and backward.
