How to Replace IO IC chip on RC7M Controller

Step-by-Step Guide

Pictures show a board that is currently setup for NPN.


Step 1

Please jumper the two pins on JP6 and leave JP4 open.


Step 2

Replace the 3 IC chips with the proper PNP type M54564P (410077-0020)

For NPN please use M54522P (part number: 410077-0010)


2021 UPDATE: 
410077-0110 - NPN IC Chip
410077-0120 - PNP IC Chip

Step 3

Short pins 2 and 3 on JP2 and JP5.

There are two types of RC7 controller: 
One controller has a safety box and the other a safety board. You can determine which I/O card is needed by the following:


If the I/O board has no chip it talks to the safety box.
If the I/O board has a chip it talks to the safety board.  
Once this is determined see description and part number below for correct I/O board.

If a new board is needed see reference below:


PNP type used with Safety Box - 410010-3290
NPN type used with Safety Box - 410010-3280
PNP type used with Safety Board - 410010-3270
NPN type used with Safety Board - 410010-3260
